as you may know I was a high level athlete. for 20 years of my life I competed as a figure skater. competing and travelling worldwide. my training has given me a chance to live in different countries like Russia, USA, Canada, shortly France. it was a truly exciting time.
all of that sounds amazing until you learn what it really means – endless hours of training, no social life whatsoever, many-many sacrifices and finally, in my case – struggling with eating disorders.
if you want to know more about my figure skating life, i really recommend you to check out my Youtube, because all of that is there in many episodes.
my eating disorders started when i was a teenager, around the age of 14-15. i struggled with bulimia, purging, binging, i was eating laxatives and waterpills. crazy! lots of unhealthy habits. they all started because of my insecurities that I desperately needed to hide from the public.
I started my healing around the age of 22-23. I gradually stopped and haven’t looked back since. I guess you could call me a healthy living advocate. after coming clean took some time to reflect and analyse my reasons.
in 2020 when the pandemic hit, I took time to finish courses on nutrition, personal coach, cognitive behaviour therapy and in fall 2020 I also got my figure skating coach degree.
in 2021 I graduated from Tallinn Law School with a degree in International Law and in September 2021 I will start studying web and graphic design.
